Resist Embossing with Hanging Garden
This is a great card for those stampers who want a little more. In this card we are going to do some stamping with embossing powder, but then use ink as water color over it. Yep going to paint right over it. If you don’t usually watch the video, it will be a good time to watch this time, much easier to explain this time.
Card base as always is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded at 4 1/4, using crumb cake. Then the emerald envy is ran thru the petal burst embassy folder and layered on the card base. Then a piece of the birthday memory dsp cut at 3 1/4 x 4 3/4 is layered on this.
Now you will take your watercolor paper 3 x 4 1/4 and use versa mark to stamp your hanging baskets at the top of the paper. Add white embossing powder, pour off the excess and heat with heat gun.
Then toward the bottom you will take the sentiment and dip in versa mark a couple times, then gently tap into the black once or twice and stamp the paper then immediately pour clear embossing powder on the sentiment. Pour off excess and heat emboss. This allows you to have any color embossing.
Now that your paper is embossed now its time to paint. Uses your aqua painter and wet your paper. then squeeze your pads a little before opening and this will put ink in the lid before you open it. then after opening it you can use the aqua painter to pull up the ink and begin painting. Paint however you feel the ink flow!
Tie the emerald envy seam binding to the lower end of the water color paper and adhere to the top of the card. Add enamel dots for accent.
