Getting Creative with My Creative Time

So when I head of the opportunity to create projects for My Creative Time Design Team, I thought what the Heck.  Emma is a fabulous designer and these are one of my favorite products.  So I got busy and got to play also.  So here are a few little things I came up with.   I absolutely love the different stamps and dies that you can get.   There is such a variety from sentiments to images. You can visit her at http://shop.my-creative-time.com/main.sc

My first project is this paper mache box that I covered.  I first painted the box with black acrylic paint.  Cut my paper in the sizes just shy the size of the box top and sides.   I then stamp the hexagon background stamp in memento london fog ink to this pokadot shimmer paper from DCWV ,  and on the sides I used the chevron stamps in london fog for the thick chevron and then black ink for the thin line down the center.  Love how I could alter this paper and make the back ground different.  I used some different dies from My Creative time, mostly from Fly Away With Me,  for the balloons, clouds and plane.  Used the coordinating stamps to make a little scene.  Of course had to use the cute little kidos to look like they are waving to the balloons and plane.   I colored them in with colored pencils.   I used some balsa wood to make a little window with the Just Simply Live Die and used the tab die to attach at the top to pull out the little picture.  The clouds are both paper and felt to add texture.    I accented the box with some rhinestones and little hexagon die cutouts for added color down the sides.      More close up detail in the video below.

This cute little birthday card is using the cute little Birthday Buddies Stamp set  and uses the   Let’s Celebrate Stamp and Die Set, also the XL Stiched label and layering label die.   This is an A2 sized card.

These cute Little tags are using the Tag Dies, that I centered around some images on Christmas paper that I liked.  I used the Bow Die and jingle bells to accent the top.  Used All around Holiday Stamp and bell die to accent.  The snow man is colored with copics and is  from Peachy Keen Stamps.

This Layout is some pictures I took of my mom and I going thru the airports on the way to Hawaii to my Son’s wedding.   I can’t really have bulkiness in my scrapbook, but can’t not have flowers in a layout for Hawaii.  Plus Emma has such great flower dies,  I have used two flower dies, both Flower Petal die and Rolled flower die.   But on the Rolled flower die,  I left it flat and made Leis’ out of them.   I also have used the stitched layering die again with Whimiscal Calender stamp.  I also used the Journaling stamp and placed the tab die on top, on the back I used the postage die to cut out a portion of travel guide from our trip.  I love how I could save this little portion of our travels.

My Last Card is a Get Well card.  Using the Umbrella and Stitched Boots Dies.  I also uses I am Here for You Rain or Shine for the puddle and both sentiments inside and out.  Also used the Oval stitched Die.

Well I hope you stuck with me,  I had lots of fun playing and have  a video below with closer up view of all my projects.  I look forward to Emma’s release every time.  If I made her design team it would be a dream come true, but if not, I will continue to have fun playing!!!
