Designer Challenge at My Creative Time

Last Thursday, Emma posted the Designer Challenge.  You could use the photo for inspiration or use the colors.  I decided to combine both and make a scrapbook layout for my soon to be grandson’s scrapbook.  I am using any excuse to get layout pages done for this book and could use the inspiration.  This was the perfect inspiration also since they live in San Diego.  I know there will be lots of water photos.

This is a 12 x 12 layout.  All the images and dies are using My Creative Time.  I used some distress ink to watercolor the photo mats.  I also used fun foam to give dimension to my letters, I just cut them out and used xyron to both the fun foam and letters and then taped the letters on top of the fun foam and then tape the letters down to the page.   I fussy cut the animals, boats and plants out after stamping them.

Supplies used:
Dies: lowercase alphabet dies                           Stamp set: Lost at Sea and Surf’s up
                      4 x 4 journaling dies
Ink:  Memento: Tanego, bamboo leaves, summer sky,   Hero Arts: London fog
Distress Ink:tumble glass, salty ocean, broken china with homemade glimmermist
